What a fitting name for this wonderfully sweet and aromatic coffee! The La Magnolia is one of the finest Tres Rios coffees. La Magnolia is grown in the Tres Rios region at 4,000 to 6,000 feet above sea level. This coffee has an incredibly sweet and floral aroma, smooth mouthfeel and natural sweetness, clean acidity, intense yet delicate flavors. It is medium-bodied and has a nice lingering finish.

La Magnolia is grown by the La Minita estate, which has been long considered by many experts to be one of the world's most exquisite coffee growers. It is one of the last true Estate coffees, as they oversee and control every aspect of the coffee preparation, from nursery through final milling. For every 100 lbs picked, only 23 lbs will actually be packaged and given the "La Minita" name. You can learn more about this estate from their own website: www.laminita.com.

This coffee has a sweet aroma like the Costa Rican magnolia for which it was named. The La Magnolia is a beautifully prepped, remarkably well-rounded, exceptionally well-balanced, complex coffee. The aroma has a nice floral smell. The acidity is not overbearing, and the aftertaste is clean and pleasant, making it easy to go back for another refill. The taste of the coffee has sweetness with floral undertones. If you're in search of a special Costa Rican coffee (and even if you're not), this may be the one. A good morning coffee with a bright cup.
